Far from what is portrayed in movies, the real-life saga of a mother begins with a lovely baby bump and never ends. Clearly, as one of the noblest of jobs, motherhood can at the same time be the most frustrating and vexing of duties. From prepping your family for breakfast and their day-to-day routine to putting your child to sleep, the cycle of tasks just tire you out and you beg to call for a friend but alas, COVID19 came. With all your plans going down the drain and hanging out with friends being just too risky there must be some other way to connect with people! We asked help from one of our Panda-friends who is a mother herself, to share with us some good news!

You’ve got a friend! It’s cliché, but we’re dead serious. Grab your phone and start finding these Facebook groups where the other momma’s hang out. Things may have changed but there are still great places where you can look to find a friend to talk to who’ll understand you so much more than you imagined. Get to know mothers as brave and as strong as you, build a clique, or help first-time moms figure out their way through motherhood. Isn’t that a good way to spend your time indoors?

First off, you know those free voucher cards? Giveaways? Prizes? Promos? We have just that group for you. Check out WOOP Mama Club. Created in July 2018, the home to a community around 304,000 strong, it is both a crowd sharing and sourcing platform. There was a time when a raffle for Pampers Dry diapers was posted and the first requirement was to join the group. I thought it was just another boring and random Facebook group but no. Surprisingly it is more like a chat group of mommas posting and  asking questions real questions like “Is it normal for my baby to have this on her head?”, “What’s the best formula for a 7-month old baby” and so on. You are welcome to check it out! It might help you with your questions with regards to your little one or you may turn it around and help mothers seeking guidance.

Do you love to cook? Looking for some creative, doable, and exciting new recipes? Type in Easy Recipes For Easy Moms.  You’ll discover lots and lots of recipes that will surely entice your family. Preparing for an event? This group has got you covered! Just scroll and view the shared posts of recipes and you’ll get the know-how to some very useful recipes from easy roasted chicken, basic baking and random fun snacks for your kiddies. This group houses around 243,000 members. (There’s a disclaimer though, this group is based in Las Vegas so most of the cooking isn’t meant to be partnered with rice meals. But hey, cooking is universal right?)

If you prefer Filipino foods, I suggest Pang Negosyo Recipes At Pang Pamilyang Pagkain. It has every Filipino dish made easy. Some members even added up a link for the video of how to cook the dishes so that everyone could easily follow it. You can even find recipes that you can sell. This group was put up in August of 2017 and still adding members up to this day. They have about 268,000 members comprising of not only moms but also dad-moms. So check it out and surprise your family with an awesome meal.

Are you a first-time mother? Or are you an expert mom? Search for Breastfeeding Pinays. It has a strong support group of 309,000 mommas online to help you with your most common questions about your little one. You can post an experience and problems you encountered while raising your child and these online mommas will surely help you out. These mommas got each other’s backs. For medical queries please always refer to a pediatrician.

Did you know that 3 months after the COVID-19 quarantine period started, barter communities started popping out like crazy? Many moms who lost their jobs also turned to online selling. If you think you have some unused stuff in your house, trade it up for something that you can use. Look for Barter Group For Mommy and Baby Community.  If you are looking for some baby supplies but it’s too risky to go outside, just search for All About Babies And Kids (Swap, Buy, and Sell). They have stocks on the most commonly needed baby supplies and some sellers are mothers too. You’ll get your desired item plus you’ll be able to help a mom trying to earn. It has about 76,000 members and you will surely find an item perfect for you.

There are a lot, and I really mean this, a lot of groups out there for mothers. You are not alone. All you need to do is reach out and the online mothers’ community will help you out. Stay strong momma and always keep COVID out and JOY in your homes!
